Submitting Work
Somers
Custom Framing, Inc. reserves the right to exclude from the exhibition artworks
that do not conform to the requirements set forth in this prospectus.

All types of artwork will be
considered.
·
All works must be for sale. Sales are made to Somers Custom Framing,
which takes a 25% commission and forwards the balance of 75% to the artists. Sales tax will be collected and remitted on
all sales.
·
Minimum dimensions including
frame: 6” in width and 6” in
height. Maximum dimensions including
frame: 40” x 30” (either direction)
·
Submissions should include:
1.
Up to 3 original pieces of original
art or signed watercolor giclee. If the
artist would like to produce a giclee for the print-bin, the original piece
must be submitted to Somers Custom Framing at least 1 week prior to submission
date to allow time for accurate scanning & colorization of reproduced
artwork.
2.
For piece to be considered for main wall
exhibition, artwork must be ready-to-hang (proper frame and hanging
cable). For pieces submitted for
print-bin selection, the artwork must be matted and properly shrink-wrapped. For a nominal
fee, Somers Custom Framing can shrink-wrap works for print-bin selection.
3.
The entry form below. Please type or print clearly and fill out
entire form. Write titles exactly as
you would like them to appear on the pricelist and other documents.
4.
Non-refundable $10 per entry.
(check, credit card, cash). Each artist
may submit up to 3 entries.

Acceptance or rejection
notification by e-mail or phone will be made Thursday, May 8th.
·
All artwork not accepted into the
exhibition must be removed on Friday, May 9th, 10 am - 6 pm.

Accepted Work

Main wall entries must be suitably
framed, wired and ready for hanging.

Print-bin Selections must be
properly matted and shrink-wrapped.

An announcement card in PDF or
Word format will be e-mailed to all artists.
This card should be forwarded to friends & family.

All artwork must be delivered in
person by Wednesday, May 7th from 10 – 3 pm.
Reception and
Awards
·
Ribbons for 1st, 2nd
and 3rd places will be awarded during the afternoon reception on
Saturday, May 10th, 2-4 pm.

All featured artists must be present at the Open House
& Award Ceremony on Saturday, May 10th, 2-4 pm at Somers Custom

After Exhibition
·
Removing in Person
Artist or an agent acting for the artist must pick up the
work between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm on the removal day.
·
If a piece has been sold, Somers
Custom Framing will issue to the artist a check for 75% of the selling price.
Liability
Prospective exhibitors shall agree to hold Somers Custom
Framing, Inc., its employees and anyone acting for it, harmless from any claim
which might arise from their participation in the exhibition, including loss or
damage to submitted works of art, from any cause whatsoever. Somers Custom Framing does not offer
insurance on the submitted artwork.
Insurance is the responsibility of the artist.
Consent to reproduce artwork for publicity, catalog or
educational purposes is assumed unless specifically reserved in writing. Submission of entry constitutes agreement to
all conditions in this prospectus.
